Mitigation Consultant speak for the dignity and value of those who have committed even the worst criminal acts.

When a criminal defendant faces a death sentence, a mitigation specialist will tell his story to the jury in order to advocate for his life.

Mitigation specialists also provide expert insight into criminal culpability, helping courts to understand a defendant’s mental health or developmental disorders.

and community resources are at a minimum. Clients are standing in line to be served. The demand is high and there is a need for expanding to a full Service program to concentrate on the older lifer inmate who has served 25, 30, and 40 plus years. These clients cannot simply be “released” without proper evaluation and presented to the parole boards, These older offenders would be entering a new world; different from the one they left. They will need ongoing support, Many are sitting in the prison doing little or nothing with the exception of the COVID-19 epidemic virus which has most of them petrified.
